What is Chronic Pain?

You many be experiencing Chronic Pain for several reasons. Common reasons include nerve damage, autoimmune diseases, viral infections, or long-term damage (such as sleeping on a poor mattress or wearing high heels).

Patients who experience chronic pain often have infections or autoimmune diseases that result in feelings of chronic pain. At the Healing Sanctuary in Idaho Falls, we are dedicated to treatments that can help your body heal naturally and minimize your chronic pain.

While chronic pain is often a side effect of another disease, many who suffer from chronic pain experience the following:

  • Joint pain
  • Aching muscles
  • Fatigue, sleeping problems
  • Loss of stamina and flexibility
  • Mood change and psychological problems

You may be experiencing chronic pain for several reasons. Common reasons for chronic pain include nerve damage, autoimmune diseases, viral infections, or long-term damage (such as sleeping on a poor mattress or wearing high heels).

To understand why you may be feeling chronic pain, we perform a thorough diagnosis. One of these procedures is conducting a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) DNA analysis. As we test chronic pain patients, we have found that over 50% test positive for infectious causes. This means that typically, there is a greater infection that needs to be treated.

Through specialized training, we strive to find the exact sources and root causes of the problems that may be causing your pain, and determine treatments from there.

Several foods may trigger chronic pain. Avoid red meat and sugar intake. In addition, dairy is a large contributor to chronic pain. The proteins in dairy are unhealthy and can affect the conditions of your gut and brain. As you limit these foods and focus on a more plant-based diet, your joint pain will improve.

In addition to a balanced diet and specialized treatments, we find that taking vitamin supplements can help the body function and reduce pain. For patients with chronic pain, we often prescribe fish oil, CBD oil, and turmeric supplements.

Depending on the source of your chronic pain, we offer different types of treatments, specific to your circumstances, and level of pain. At the Healing Sanctuary, we make regenerative medicine a big focus for healing. Other treatments include prolotherapy, ozone therapy, and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections.
